INFERTILIDAD Y PLANIFICACION FAMILIAR - OBSERVACION

Fertility observation methods are also known as "natural family planning" and "the rhythm method". Family planning encompasses various methods based on fertility awareness used to achieve and postpone pregnancy.

service-imgWHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FERTILITY OBSERVATION METHODS?

Fertility observation methods help you keep track of the menstrual cycle so you know when the ovaries release an egg every month (this is called "ovulation"). The days next to ovulation are the fertile days, when you are more likely to get pregnant.

The temperature method: you take the temperature in the morning every day before getting up.

The cervical mucus method (cervical discharge) every day

The calendar method: write your menstrual cycle on a calendar.

The most effective is to combine these 3 methods. When used together, it is called a "syothermal method".

The standard day method is a variation of the calendar method. You track your menstrual cycle for several months so that your cycle is between 26 and 32 days long; You cannot use this method if your cycle is longer or shorter.

To achieve a pregnancy: Couples with normal fertility have a 76% chance of achieving a pregnancy in the first observation cycle if they have sex on the days identified as fertile. The odds increase to 82 percent in the third cycle and to 98 percent in the sixth cycle

To postpone a pregnancy: In general terms, when used correctly, the index reaches 97-99%. It is suggested that the synthetic methods of natural family planning are as effective as birth control pills.

service-imgWHAT IS THE TRAINING?

Natural family planning consists of several individual classes, from couple to couple or in groups, where you learn to observe the signs and markers of fertility and infertility during the menstrual cycle.

A couple completes several months of daily observation of these markers and then returns to attend some additional personal classes to examine their graphs and understand special circumstances, such as breastfeeding, perimenopause or illness.
